Yes, I was thinking about adding in an option to support certain frameworks such as Bootstrap and UIKit. I think I will add this in the next update as it will be a nice feature to have

No, the shoutbox demo I created a template override for and manually added the classes to utilize the UIKit framework

I think I remember making an edit for someone who wanted the smilies to be hidden by default. Will maybe make this the default state in the next update.

We thought about multiple shoutboxes, then thought it would be quite pointless. The reason being is that a shoutbox is supposed to be a small widget for quick posts, anything more and a proper commenting system should be considered.
