I need 12 custom buttons

Unfortunately the Socia Slider does not support more than 5 custom slides. I am currently developing a Pro version of the Social Slider that will allow you to add more, along with some other feature, but this won't be released for another week or 2.

That would be quite a long process. There would be several file and lines of code you would have to change.

What you can do it try duplicating the module in the Module Manager and foreach one, turn off all the default slides, such as facebook, twitter etc, so that you are only left with the custom ones.

As mentioned before, the Social Slider only supports 5 custom slides along with the default slides.

The possible solution above I've just realised will not work as it will result in duplicate element id's and other possible problems.

I'm sorry but you will either have to wait for the Pro version of the extension, try fiddling with the code.
