Adding smileys
was created by
ggaillet
I guess this should be simple but I didn't find it either in the code or in the forum. So far I was able to replace the existing smileys with my own but what I also want is to add new ones. Seems like script.php is not the one that does that. Can you help? Thanks.

Adding smileys
Hi ggaillet,
You firstly need to upload to the following directory:
ROOT/media/mod_shoutbox/images
Once done, open the Shoutbox in the Module Manager and under the "Advanced" tab, you'll see a label called " Smilies List" with a button.
Clicking this will allow you to add/remove smilies. All you have to do is type in the name of the file
See screenshot below:

Where are these codes for the smilies stored? a CSV on the file system? I do not see them in the database.
Thanks,
Scott

Adding smileys
Hi Scott,
Parameters for Joomla extensions are stored in the
#__extensions
database table in the
params
column.
See screenshot below:
I'm not sure why you need this though. You can add smilies in the Shoutbox options, via the Module Manager.
Regards,
Lodder
