I am running this shoutbox module which I will say looks pretty good. I am liking it a lot however, I notice that even though I have the sound alert enabled, the sounds don't play when I post a shout most of the time. It would randomly work a few times but most of them don't sound. I have tried multiple browsers and multiple pc's as well. Same problem. Please advise.

Hi Kevin,

This is a little odd, as I've found the sound notifications to have no problems myself.

Can I just confirm that the sound should not activate on your own post, but when someone else posts a shout?

The same rule applies for the HTML5 notifications.

Yes, I know that the sound will only sound if someone else posts a shout. I have logged in from a separate account on another PC just to test and the problem remains. I can send you Admin details if you would like to check.

HI Kevin,

All sorted

The issue was that JCH Optimize. I've cleared the cache in the Joomla backend, and sounds are now working as expected.
